The Speed Zone 4x4 is a new range from Dynastar.
Although it is described as “all-mountain” by the brand, it is more frontside-oriented. It corresponds more to what Proskilab would call an “all-round” range. That is, the skis are made for skiing groomers but can ski in “all types of terrain and all types of snow.” It comes in two widths underfoot (78 and 82 cm), and two different constructions, normal and Pro. The Pro version is reinforced with Titanal.

The testers evaluated the narrower version with the Pro construction.

The Speed Zone 4x4 78 Pro is a very good beginner ski and will give confidence to all novices. The ski pivots easily and is very forgiving. It is predictable and makes you feel safe.

The ski is maneuverable and playful. It is still enjoyable in small turns even when you increase speed. It is also a good ski to learn how to carve on gentle slopes.

At higher speeds, its performance is weaker than its competitors.

The Speed Zone 4x4 78 Pro is an excellent ski for beginners and low intermediates who have mastered parallel turns. The ski allows them to improve quickly while having a great time on a super fun ski.
