The Hero Elite LT ("Long Turn") Ti is another ski that is well-known to the testers. This year, we reviewed it with the famous R22 race plate that is also found on other models in the Rossignol/Dynastar group.

We found the same level of performance and precision of the Hero Elite LT Ti tested in previous years. The R22 plate enhances performance for sure. The ski has power and possesses characteristics “similar to a racing ski.”

Its name LT means it prefers long turns. However, it is “capable of making tight turns when necessary” even though this is not its preferred activity. It is a very reliable and versatile ski, which is capable of varying the type of turn. It is “solid” but “punchy when you when you go for it.”

This mix makes it a super fun ski. You can go for an easy cruise, then when there is a nice empty steep run, launch into a super-fast carving mode.

The testers noticed a slight lack of agility. The ski is very enjoyable, a great performer, and predictable, but it is not very playful. The turn entry is slow, and the rebound is not very dynamic.

What is amazing about the Rossignol Hero Elite LT Ti R22 is the balance between performance, accessibility, and versatility. We recommend it to advanced to expert skiers who want a high-performance ski that is not too demanding, but still sporty and geared towards long turns.
