This year, the Dynastar Speed Elite won the "Best Ski 2019" award for this category.

The ski is clearly designed for performance and, with such a short radius (13m), it struggles to hide its slalom DNA. It excels in all areas, including at high speed. Precise turn initiation, quick edge-to-edge transfer, great stability in the turn, and amazing rebound at the end of the turn make it a very lively ski that will be a blast to ski on.

The ski is not super demanding. Its overall performance is very predictable and confidence-inspiring, and expert female skiers will get the hang of it very fast.

However, you have to drive the ski, progressively adding pressure (especially at the end of the turn where the rebound may knock you off balance). You also have to put in a bit of effort. It is perfect for skiers that have already mastered carved turns. It is a good ski to improve on and can help skiers hone their technique.

The Speed Elite is an excellent ski for athletic skiers looking for a very dynamic ski that is not as demanding as a racing ski.
