PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

The PROSKILAB testers were surprised by the excellent all-mountain skis in K2's Pinnacle series. These skis all struck a great balance between performance and ease of use.

In the Women's All-Mountain category, the K2 Alluvit 88 also excels. It is a well-balanced ski that can help the skier progress.

The ski is happy in all types of terrain. On piste, it performs well and is super fun. Turn performance is solid, and the Alluvit 88 Ti is particularly comfortable in long turns where the ski is simply superb. It's extremely stable and grippy, but its light weight does appear to affect its precision to some extent.

The ski’s lightness and the fact that it doesn't require too much physical effort were frequently cited.

Off-piste, its lightness is an advantage because more vertical movement is used. Despite its light weight, the ski charges through variable snow effortlessly. The ski can go everywhere with great ease.

The Alluvit 88 Ti is a good all-mountain front ski that we highly recommend for intermediate to expert skiers looking for an easy, smooth, versatile, and user-friendly ski that is a total blast to ski on. It is also a good ski if you want to venture into the slackcountry for the first time.

Manufacturer's remarks

Striking a balance between off-piste agility and groomer precision, the Alluvit 88Ti surfs, slashes, and carves in every condition Mother Nature can throw your way. Titanal metal laminate and our Bioflex Konic core (fir/aspen) are sandwiched between triaxial braided fiberglass to deliver the response and exactness necessary to drive the ski through crud and finesse the ski at high speeds. With the edge-to-edge quickness usually found in a performance piste ski, the K2 Alluvit is the swiss army knife in the women's freeride collection.
