Rossignol 9X Radical review 2007
Men's skis 2007 > Giant slalom Best ski 2007
TESTER'S CHOICE. Distinguished by its performance and ease of handling. It allows for a skier to ski very aggressively or more relaxed according to your style.
The testers were very divided about this ski. Some of them wished it didn't feel so below par in relation to the other slalom skis that were tested (even if overall the ski performed quite well).
Well suited for skicross. A good ski that cuts turns at speed - for skiers looking for performance. Some testers said it felt very similar to the 9X Radical.
Good ski with no surprises. Well suited for mixed use on or off-piste. Will please lovers of big arcs in particular.
A good ski that carves well and prefers long-radius turns, but suffers too much from poor performance in skid turns to be considered a touring ski. It was found to be a bit more difficult, more demanding and a little less versatile than its competitors.
Performance ski (too much so, really), but not easy enough to handle nor stable enough to rank well in its category.
Demanding ski, specialized for powder and long-radius turns, best suited for those who want to carve out long turns in deep powder. Difficulties arise in any other context.
