K2 Recoil review 2014
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
The K2 Recoil we reviewed was too short. However, it appears to be a good, particularly versatile Freestyle/Backcountry ski. We'd like to test it again next year, but in the 180 cm version.
Review: Pros
- The Recoil (K2) is a well-balanced ski for the piste. Both manoeuvrable and lively, it has a clear prediliction for short turns (taking into account the reservations mentioned below about the length of the model reviewed).
- For freestyle skiing, the testers applauded its great manoeuvrability, its capacity to rotate on the flat (idem), and its performance in switch.
Review: Cons
- The manufacturer sent us a 169 cm instead of the 180 cm version we asked for (!). This meant the ski was far too short for the programme and for the stature of our testers. This size lost points on its landing, pop in the park, and edge grip in turns that were less convincing on the piste.
