Rossignol Radical 9SL SLANTNOSE TI TPX review 2014
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
The Rossignol Radical 9SL is a "no-nonsense", high-performance ski whose distinctive feature is its considerable rigidity, which provides good grip and stability in turns, but puts it at a disadvantage in terms of accessibility. Excellent for good to expert skiers looking for a ski they can count on when carving short-radius turns.
Review: Pros
- The Rossignol Radical 9SL is a rigid, capable ski crafted for speed. It possesses all the qualities one would expect of a good Slalom ski, namely, good grip, stability, edge-grip and rebound.
Review: Cons
- Technique-wise, the ski is very demanding: turn initiation, for instance, is not intuitive. Due to its very rigid construction, it is less at ease in skidded or sliding turns, and requires a good level of physical condition to get it to respond to changes in pressure.
