The SLX Plus is designed more for pleasure than pure performance. It makes up for its relative lack of performance by its versatility and user-friendliness. The ski is playful, intuitive and highly enjoyable. It's an excellent model for good to very good skiers who want to treat themselves to a sports ski that's both easy to use and enjoyable.

• The SLX is more fun and user-friendly than the high performance competition-type skis usually offered by the manufacturers in this category. The testers found that globally the ski offered good performance and was versatile. Above all, they found it intuitive, and incredibly easy when initiating and holding turns.

Review: Cons

• The Elan SLX has a very flexible heel, which makes it especially easy to handle and highly enjoyable. However, it tends to be a disadvantage on packed snow and in long radius and very dynamic turns.
