Dynastar Outland 80XT review 2013

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

The Dynastar Outland 80XT is a bit more technical and performance-oriented than the average model in our ski review. It’s a ski to hone your technique rather than an ‘initiation’ ski. We’d recommend it for intermediate skiers who want to improve their technique and are looking for a very lively, dynamic ski.

Review: Pros

  • The Outland 80XT manages to achieve a very good balance between performance and accessibility. The ski's performance is remarkable for this category, even at a hard and fast pace when edge hold in turns surprised the reviewers. The ski is extremely lively with great rebound when riding out turns. The reviewers also found it versatile, making it easy to alternate between long and short turns, carves and skids. This ski certainly will help the skier to make technical progress, especially in more dynamic turns.

Review: Cons

  • The Outland is a little more difficult to use than some of the other test models and is slightly less comfortable in short radius turns.
