Rossignol Alias Carbon review 2011
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
A’reviewer’s favourite’! The Alias Carbon is a really successful ski. It would suit both beginners and advanced skiers looking for a ski that’s both playful and manageable.
The ski tested was a 166cm, a size that was judged a little short by the reviewers. Moreover, the bindings on the model sent to us by Rossignol were too far forward. They needed to be moved back around 3cm for the test.
Review: Pros
- The all-rounder aspect of the Rossignol Alias Carbon came as a surprise. The ski appeared to adapt to the skier’s programme. Beginners will find it tolerant, reassuring, easy to handle and use in skids. Intermediate skiers will enjoy its stability, its playfulness, its comfort in short-radius turns and its handling qualities in skid turns and at higher speeds.

Manufacturer's remarks
A revolutionary new ski designed for intermediate and advanced skiers featuring Rossignol\'s AutoTurn Technology. AutoTurn combines a rocker and Oversize sidecuts to deliver more versatility, rebound and ease-of-use than conventional skis. The Oversize sidecuts deliver power, energy and edge grip under foot where you need it most. The reverse camber \"rocker\" at the tip and tail delivers easy turning, steering and more forgiveness. The Alias is made with carbon, wood core and Rossignol\'s V.A.S for dampening. The Alias excels on any terrain on the mountain.
