Fischer Progressor 8 review 2011

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

Fischer's Progressor 8 is a good, well-balanced ski, but loses points in that it's unforgiving at lower level while expert riders will find it lacks performance. This lowers its ranking in the progress category where we're looking for a reassuring and docile ski. It could be good though for intermediary to expert skiers, and for less demanding piste skiing.

Review: Pros

  • The Progressor 8 performs well in most circumstances and is relatively accessible, with easy turn entry and gradual follow-through. It handles well in carved turns at medium speeds.

Review: Cons

  • The ski lacks tolerance and stability for this category, requiring a relative degree of focus. Its limitations soon become clear when it gets to hard terrain at faster speeds.
