Rossignol Radical 9GS CASCADE TI TPX review 2014

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

Like the Dynastar, the Rossignol 9 GS that was tested didn't come along just for the ride. Designed as a Giant Slalom specialist, it is remarkably effective in this area, although less versatile than other contenders in its category. It is a good choice for very good, physically fit skiers who are into carving long-radius turns at "full throttle".

Review: Pros

  • Our testers' verdict was unequivocal: this ski is a pure performer! The 9GS Cascade Ti is a no-nonsense, effective ski for manoeuvring long-radius turns at high speed. With its unfailing grip, it holds fast in turns performed on the hardest of snows.

Review: Cons

  • While its performance is nothing short of imperial in long-radius turns, the 9GS tends to be more demanding in short-radius turns. On the whole, the ski requires a certain degree of physical engagement and technical skill, as well as extra vigilance when it comes to placement.
