Rossignol Experience 88 TPX review 2013

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

The Experience 88 is a high performer on the groomers, but is not really comfortable enough off-piste to feature in the Freeride Midfat category. We would recommend it for good skiers who enjoy carving long turns at high speed on groomed runs and who like to get off the beaten track from time to time.

Review: Pros

  • You really feel the qualities of the Rossignol Experience 88 on the groomers. The ski performs well, with good grip and smooth turn control. It's especially good in long turns at high speed where it clearly outperforms its rivals and is incredibly impressive. The ski is nonetheless globally versatile and easy to manage.

Review: Cons

  • The ski is less at ease in the powder, where its float and manoevrability call its performance into question.
  • The centring of the bindings (mounted further forward) and the longer tail(behind) hamper its performance in soft or slushy snow.
