Head Strong Instinct Ti review 2016

AWARD
Best Accessibility/Performance!

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

The Strong Instinct is a great success for Head, combining accessibility and performance with great panache. It’s a smooth and versatile ski that will rip through the snow in all conditions and on all terrains.
It will help riders to technically progress towards carving and even freeride. Not as lively or playful as the Omeglass S, but just as versatile, it will please a different type of rider. We recommend this ski for intermediate riders looking for a docile and tolerant one-ski quiver.

Review: Pros

  • Strong instinct
  • An accessible and tolerant ski
  • Relatively good performance for this category
  • A wide, typical all mountain ski (83 mm at the waist) which gives it an edge in uneven snow
  • Very easy turn initiation
  • Able to alternate skid turns and carves
  • Overall comfort: the ski cushions the terrain well and requires little physical effort

Review: Cons

  • Requires some technical prowess

Manufacturer's remarks

The All Mountain ski for everyone, for all terrains and all descents. The goal is not speed or competition. It’s pure pleasure!

The one-ski quiver you need to explore the whole resort.
