Scott The Ski review 2014
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
We initially felt that the name, "The Ski" was somewhat pretentious, and we were eager for the opportunity to put this new model from Scott through its paces. And what a surprise! The ski was nothing short of impressive and truly dominated the other contenders in its category. Performing very well both on- and off-piste, it is a true multi-purpose ski, successfully combining effectiveness, versatility, ease-of-handling and user-pleasure. Highly recommended for intermediate-level to very good skiers who want a ski that combines the capabilities of a 4-wheel drive with the comfort of a limousine, and the ease-of-use of a Renault Twingo!
Review: Pros
- To put it simply: "The Ski" is incredibly good in every department, and ranks the highest in most domains. It is perfectly at ease in all circumstances (except at high speed on hard snow). In terms of comfort and accessibility, it's in a class by itself. Handleability is immediate since the ski is remarkably gentle, intuitive and forgiving. In off-piste conditions, its most noteworthy features are its "pivotability" and the ease with which it handles difficult terrains.
Review: Cons
- The ski tends to lack dynamism and responsiveness, which impacts negatively on its aggressiveness and performance at high speed on the slopes and on hard snow.
