Blizzard Brahma review 2014

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

Designed with a titanium plate at the front for extra rigidity, the Brahma is an "athletic" and demanding ski. A 70% on-piste and 30% powder ski for fit skiers with a good technical skill set.

Review: Pros

  • The Blizzard Bahma is a dynamic, 'athletic' ski. It displays excellent performance on the slopes, particularly in long-radius turns, where its handling is nothing short of regal due to its unfailing grip and stability. The ski is lively and delivers powerful rebound on exiting turns.
  • In off-piste conditions, flotation was good on powder, and stability excellent in long-radius turns.

Review: Cons

  • In off-piste conditions, the ski's rigidity makes it less comfortable on irregular snow and crud.
  • On the slopes, the ski is demanding, and handling requires a certain degree of attention, especially on rebound (very powerful) and during transitions from carving to skidding (not very suitable for learners).
