Atomic VF 75 W review 2011

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

Atomic's reputation is based on its products' excellent performance, often noted in Winter-Sports.com test sessions. The WF75W is no exception but the level of physical and technical prowess required loses its points in the "Advanced" category where we're looking for accessibility, comfort and suitable for athletic, good to very good skiers who want a powerful ski to carve across the slopes.

Review: Pros

  • The Atomic VF75W (woman) is a good performer, highly responsive, stable and comfortable in long-radius turns, and easy to handle on terrain that's not too demanding.

Review: Cons

  • This ski is relatively easy to handle on flat terrain and soft snow, but becomes more demanding on technically-challenging terrain (steeper slopes, hard snow) where more physical effort and technical skills are required. It's also more difficult to handle in skid turns (perhaps because of the rigid tail), losing its points in terms of accessibility, polyvalence and comfort.
