More accessible but less efficient than the Dynastar Elite 11, the Insomnia just missed first place in this year’s reviews. The ski did well in every domain, and stood out for its consistency and user friendliness. In addition, it’s also a responsive and playful model that’s highly enjoyable. It’s a good choice for intermediary to good riders looking for an energetic ski which requires good technical skills and some physical effort.

The Insomnia is the ultimate proof of Elan’s commitment to lady riders. Thanks to the revolutionary Amphibio technology, the Insomnia is specifically and entirely equipped to meet the needs of female riders. The ski’s shell has a traditional camber that offers enormous and powerful grip, while the core has a rocker profile which offers superb control and easy turn initiation. Combined with the Dual Shaped Ti revolution (the skis are convex in the front and concave at the back), this ski gives all advanced to expert skiers a different sensation at each new turn. Thanks to the Trulite Woodcore, the Insomnia combines performance and lightness to satisfy all of its female riders.
